Barbara Tantrum
Barbara graduated from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology with a Masters of Counseling Psychology in 2010. She is a foster/adoptive mom herself, and loves working with kids and adults. Barbara has an interpersonal style to therapy; and uses educational, solution-focused therapy for specific needs. Barbara’s methods include music, art, filial play therapy, and sensory therapies. Barbara is trained and experienced in trauma-informed therapy; which includes working with children, adoptive families, and adult survivors of trauma and abuse. She published a book titled, The Adoptive Parents' Handbook: A Guide to Healing Trauma and Thriving with Your Foster or Adopted Child.
Barbara works via telehealth and in person in her Shoreline office. Her hobbies include swimming, writing, painting, reading, and cooking.
